Of course it doesn't make as much sense tied to the bookmarks bar. The actual viewport of the tab is controlled internally by the webpage. The tab is controlled by the toolbar interface. The tab itself is not in fact tied to a webpage. While seemingly unintuitive at first glance having the tabs attached to the toolbar is actually quite logical. While Fx shouln't copy Safari, note that back/next arrows on Safari are just triangles, not full arrows. While, I agree on a bit of azure/blue 'tech' glow on selected/enabled buttons. Personally, I think these 2 browsers have a better looking UI:Īgain, use these as a source of inspiration, but don't blatantly rip off their design too. Safari does not have the best looking interface, and (from a graphic designers point of view) it wouldn't be too difficult to out-design Apple. I realize this is a mock-up, but it looks as if you are just trying to imitate Safari.
